With the growing demand for surface protection and the pace of construction in Abu Dhabi, it was only common sense for ACT to open its doors to the Emirati capital. ACT has acquired its trade license for Abu Dhabi in the name of ACT International Oilfield Services with its office opened in Mussaffah.
This new set would allow us to compete in newer and bigger markets at the same time support our existing clients in a location of their convenience.

ADMA OPCO Approval
In 2009, ACT obtained an approval from Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA OPCO), a leading member in Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) as a preferred vendor for surface preparation, coatings and passive fire protection.
This sought-after authorization gives ACT access to a number of offshore projects within the Abu Dhabi sphere of the Arabian Gulf including drilling rigs, support vessels, platforms, SPMs and tankers. In addition, this relationship can facilitate ACT tendering to ADNOC and its related organizations.

Hamriyah Free Zone (HFZ)
In 2009, Lamprell Energy, one of ACT’s biggest clients, began to operate a new 51,000 sq meter facility in Sharjah Hamriyah Free Zone. This coupled with the addition of 195 meters of quayside access gave Lamprell an edge over its clients when competing for new build construction of jack-up rigs and deep water drilling units as well as refurbishment of vessels with a draft of 9 meters
Once again Lamprell requested ACT’s collaboration in surface preparation and coating.
Thus to enhances ACT’s relationship with Lamprell it had setup a site office in HFZ.

DUBAI CIVIL DEFENCE certification
Applied Corrosion Technology L.L.C maintains its DUBAI CIVIL DEFENCE certification for application of Intumescent coatings.
Intumescent coatings are used to preserve the structural integrity of a steel framed building in a fire to prevent collapse and allow sufficient time for evacuation and fire fighting
Intumescent coatings are paint-like materials which when subjected to heat, swell to form an insulative char. This phenomenon is used to protect the integrity of a steel structure against the effects of fire thus allowing safe evacuation of public areas,” “Modern designs often now involve the use of the steel structure as part of the architectural feature of the building. When steelwork is expressed in this manner, the only real option for fire protection is an intumescent coating system such as the Steel Master.”
