PROJECT OVERVIEW

DEWA’s Aweer power generation complex is one of Dubai’s primary power assets, where operational uptime is essential to the city’s energy security. ACT was deployed by Elsewedy to deliver site-based blasting and coating of pipes, stacks and ancillary structural surfaces inside the active station footprint. The team worked under a live-plant access regime, coordinating with DEWA Operations to execute surface preparation and protective coating to the specified system without disrupting station availability. Containment, ventilation and dust management were maintained throughout to protect adjacent equipment.

RESULTS & OUTCOME

Site-based protective coating works completed within DEWA’s access windows and safety standards.

• All scoped pipes and stacks coated to the specified DFT and finish
• Dust containment maintained on every blast shift, with no impact to live plant
• Zero LTIs and zero recordable safety incidents across the campaign
• Inspection releases obtained progressively, with no holdpoints carried forward
• Project closed within the planned shutdown / access window
